BookCon After Dark

When: Saturday, until 10:30pm
Where: Javits North - Levels 4 & 5

The story doesn’t end when the Show Floor closes — it simply opens a new chapter. 🌙

When the lights dim, BookCon After Dark begins. Think sweeping gowns and swirling dance floors. Think slippers and soft seating for a cozy late-night screening. Think microphones waiting for bold ballads and brave verses. Think playful rounds of bingo, whispered suspicions at a mystery unfolding, and rooms buzzing with laughter long past bedtime.

The aisles may close, but the imagination doesn’t. After Dark is where readers gather, revel, and step fully into the stories they love — together, and well into the night.

Fantasy Ball

When: Saturday, 8-10:30
Where: Javits North, Level 5

The Fantasy Ball is your invitation to step fully into the story.

For two and a half glittering hours, BookCon transforms into a grand ballroom worthy of crowns and courtly intrigue. This is your moment to dress to impress — sweeping gowns, sharp tailoring, velvet capes, jeweled masks — whatever makes you feel like the main character at the height of their arc.

A live DJ keeps the dance floor alive as the music swells and the room sparkles. Strike a cinematic pose at the Glambot and capture your red-carpet-worthy entrance in dramatic slow motion. Between turns across the floor, toast the night at the bar and revel in the company of fellow nobles, rogues, and romantics.

It’s elegance with a wink, spectacle with heart — an unforgettable evening where readers trade bookmarks for ballgowns and dance the night away in a setting fit for royalty.

The Bookish PJ Party is your coziest chapter yet.

When: Saturday 6:30-8:30
Where: Javits North, Room 405

Trade ballgowns for slippers and suits for soft sweats as you settle into plush seating for a relaxed, late-night screening of [FILM TBD] — a beloved book-to-screen adaptation destined for swoons, sharp dialogue, and at least a few knowing sighs.

Sink into cushions, wrap up in your comfiest layers, and watch the story unfold on the big screen alongside fellow fans who already know every line… or are about to fall in love for the first time. It’s comfort viewing at its finest — warm, witty, and wonderfully communal.

Because sometimes the best way to celebrate great literature is exactly how you’d do it at home — just with a few hundred new friends.
