A Celebration of Storytelling, BookCon Returns to the Javits Center in New York City on April 9-11, 2027
Norwalk, CT, August 5, 2026 – Following tremendous demand around its return this year, BookCon, the fan event where storytelling and pop culture collide, today announced that the event is expanding to three full days in 2027. Taking place at the Javits Center in New York City on April 9-11, 2027, BookCon will return with even more panels, authors, workshops, bookish merch, and more next year.
In April, over 25,000 attendees were welcomed to the Javits Center for the first BookCon since 2019. Tickets sold out within hours of their release last Fall, exceeding expectations and showcasing a strong demand from book lovers for a space where they can come together to celebrate their love of storytelling in all its forms. The event united the biggest publishers and brands, plus hundreds of authors spanning today’s most popular genres, for two electrifying days of panels, signings, giveaways, interactive workshops, and more.
“The passion of our fans and the storytelling community found at BookCon 2026 was beyond our wildest dreams and we can’t wait to bring the event back even bigger next year,” said Jenny Martin, Event Director, ReedPop. “Our team has been hard at work reviewing the feedback we received from attendees and partners after this year’s show and we are excited about the changes and improvements we are bringing to the 2027 event, starting with the expansion to three days of programming, signings, and shopping. Stay tuned for more updates in the months to come!”
An annual celebration of storytelling, BookCon brings together fans’ favorite publishers, authors, brands, and retailers for an immersive show floor experience, designed with fans in mind. From intimate author chats and captivating panels to lively book swaps and crafting zones, BookCon is a celebration where every page turn will lead to another great adventure.
Applications will open tomorrow, August 6, at 10:00 AM ET for panels and Indie Alley submissions, and tickets for BookCon 2027 will go on sale later this year. Additional information will be revealed in the months to come. In the meantime, stay up to date on the latest BookCon news at BookCon.com and on Instagram and Facebook.
